This policy explains what personal data EMRGE collects, why, and what rights you have over it.

1. What we collect

When you order: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if provided, and order details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.

When you sign up for email: your email address and consent record.

When you browse: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring site, via cookies and analytics.

2. Why we use it

To process, produce and deliver your order (contractual necessity)
To provide customer support (contractual necessity)
To send marketing emails, where you have opted in (consent — withdrawable at any time)
To understand how the site is used and improve it (legitimate interest)
To meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation)

3. Who we share it with

Only what's necessary, and only with:

Shopify — our ecommerce platform
Our production and fulfilment partner — receives your name and shipping address to make and send your order
Payment providers — to take payment and prevent fraud
Shipping carriers — to deliver your parcel
Email platform — if you've subscribed

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers for their own use.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers operate outside your country, including outside the EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (typically 6–7 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. EU and UK residents have all of these under GDPR. California residents have equivalent rights under CCPA, including the right to opt out of sale or sharing — note that we do not sell personal data.

To exercise any right, email hello@emrge.shop. We respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK and unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Marketing emails

We only email you marketing if you've opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site and process orders, plus analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may stop checkout from working.

9. Children

Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Security

The site runs over HTTPS and payments are handled by PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
